A new critical review from @madsmilano about the wonderful work of @taniaciffer . “Snow swirling up and wrapping the things of a tacit cloak. Snow you fall from above and we cover cover them again, to infinity: whiten the city with houses, with churches, the port with ships, the expanses of the meadows…” (Snow – Umberto Saba) The young Spanish artist Tania Ciffer creates works in which contrast is the undisputed protagonist. Our eyes love the contrast, through it we can give meaning to what we see. However, harmony always reigns supreme among colors and material consistency. Her works also harmonize fully with the environment for which they are intended. In her work “Diciembre”, Tania manages to represent the magic, tranquility and joy of this month of the year. From the pure white, that covers everything with its lightness, a gash opens at the center that attracts the attention of the observer of the work. Green and gold make their way through the white, to emerge and scream their brightness and intensity, through a use of very materic acrylic. As in a snow-covered meadow, on a strangely sunny day in winter, where the sun, even if warm, warms the air and starts to melt the snow: so, all that has been covered can breathe again. Abstract art possesses in itself the magic of an undefined meaning. This type of art has no predetermined line of interpretation. The emotion and what the work transmits to the observer are the keys to discover it. So, Tania, with her art, offers us a work of possible thousand meanings, all exact because dictated by the feelings that inspire us.”
